All of our mushrooms are first foraged by Clayton, cloned in our lab, and expanded and harvested on our farm, then processed in our laboratory kitchen. Our tinctures are made through a triple-extracted process of fruiting bodies only. No fillers. No “myceliated” rice. We do it the long way, the right way; literally bringing the benefits of the forest to you in a bottle! Trust in the power of Reishi to rejuvenate and protect, as it has done for our ancestors for millennia.
Content Notes - Our tinctures are 40% organic vodka and 60% artesian spring water. The vodka is necessary for a couple of reasons:
Preservation. Instead of introducing an inorganic preservative we use the alcohol to stabilize the tincture and prevent it from decaying at room temperature.
Extraction. Some of the polysacharrides are water-soluable and therefore can be extracted with hot water. However, some are alcohol soluable. In order to provide you with the most potent tincture with the most benefits we must use alcohol in the extraction process.
If you’re concerned about the use of alcohol for spiritual, religious, or health reasons:
There are 30mL per bottle. At the recommended usage you will be using only 1mL each day. That would equate to .4mL of alcohol/day. That’s 12mL or less than half an ounce per month.
If you’d like to reduce the amount of alcohol, simply add the tincture to a hot beverage like coffee or tea before adding cream or sugar and let sit for a couple of minutes. The heat will evaporate much of the alcohol before you drink it without affecting the strength or effectiveness of the mushroom extract.
We are planning to create an oil-based tincture in the future but this will be more costly because it will require a lengthy addition to the already 1-year long forage, clone, grow, & triple-extraction process.
